Language & Culture
I can communicate well in Malayalam and Hindi.
I can understand spoken Tamil and Marathi if you use simple words and speak at a slower pace.
My multi-cultural sensitivity comes from:
Being born and raised in a multi-cultural confluence of 3 to 4 ethnic groups at a time
Education and training in different parts of India
Having different internship experiences in Melbourne, Australia, with diversity in terms of managerial, cultural, socio-economic and location(city, suburbs and Southbank)
Collaborating with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) clients throughout my career
Maintaining a curious mind to enhance my understanding of diverse cultures and nurture sensitivity
Never presuming that I have achieved complete multicultural competence.

Therapist-Client Roles grounded in the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) model:
Let me borrow the "Two Mountains" metaphor introduced by Michael Twohig’s 2004 manual "ACT for OCD", popularised by Dr Russ Harris, an ACT proponent: At HGeorge Psychology, you aren’t meeting an expert whose life is completely in order; far from it. I am climbing my own mountain, just as you are. I have not reached the top, and I am not having a rest. From where I am on my mountain, I can spot a few barriers in your path that might be hidden from your view. It simply offers the advantage of an objective viewpoint from being on a different mountain. My job is to highlight those obstacles to you so that you can explore alternative paths around them.
I offer practical, values-driven telehealth therapy designed to empower you in tackling life’s challenges with flexibility. I provide dependable, cost-effective, and structured telehealth therapy to help you align with your core values and make intentional decisions for a mindful, meaningful life.
My therapeutic approach is straightforward, genuine, and collaborative—we won’t just discuss your issues. Instead, you will acquire practical, skills-focused strategies to enhance your ability to manage distress and cultivate the mental flexibility required to confront life’s challenges, free from unnecessary clinical jargon.
With cross-national mental health experience since 2008 and practising as a Registered Psychologist in Australia since 2014, I use evidence-based practices to provide culturally sensitive psychological interventions for adults of every age.
