Pre-requisites
What should I prepare?
Reflect on your goals and gather any relevant medical history.
The first session is usually an assessment session. Expect questions about your mental health history, your childhood, and your relationships. Having this information helps me to make a therapy/treatment plan.
Organise a referral from your General Practitioner (GP) and a Mental Health Care Plan for Medicare rebatable sessions.
Check with your private health insurance about funding for Psychology/Mental Health Sessions.
Do I need paperwork?
Yes, complete intake forms and consent documents before your first session.
Your appointment will be cancelled if you do not complete the intake forms and consent before your first appointment.
Can I bring someone?
Feel free to bring a support person if it makes you feel more at ease.
It is your responsibility to select someone you trust with your confidential information.
Unacceptable Behaviors
Services will be terminated immediately if your behaviour is aggressive, abusive, or inappropriate, or if you enter the session intoxicated/under the influence of any substances.
Telehealth Requirements
Video conferencing preferred
Make sure you organise the appropriate device/technology for your telehealth appointment.
Seek assistance from someone who can guide you in using video conferencing.
Ensure you have a private, quiet room for your consultations.
What if I’m late?
Please notify us as soon as possible; late arrivals may shorten your session.
Contact us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid cancellation fees.
Navigating Low Mood & Depression
Persistent Depression: Feeling heavy, constantly exhausted, or losing touch with the things that used to bring you joy.
Support for New & Expecting Mothers: Navigating the intense, unexpected emotional highs and lows that can happen during pregnancy or after your baby is born.
Calming Anxiety & Stress
Constant Worrying: Quieting the mind when you are caught in a loop of non-stop "what-ifs" and everyday anxiety.
Panic & Intense Fear: Learning to manage sudden, overwhelming surges of fear and the scary physical symptoms accompanying them.
Intrusive Thoughts & Routines (OCD): Finding relief from unwanted, looping thoughts and the repetitive habits you feel forced to do to keep anxiety at bay.
How Can I Help?
Personal Growth & Well-being
Self-Esteem & Confidence: Overcoming deep-seated feelings of not being "good enough" and building a kinder relationship with yourself.
Overeating & Relationship with Food: Supporting you through the emotional cycles of overeating and finding a more peaceful balance.
Sleep & Insomnia: Breaking the cycle of tossing and turning so you can finally get the restful sleep you need.
Relationships, Family & Work Life
Relationship & Marriage Difficulties: Working through communication breakdowns, constant conflict, or the pain of a separation.
Parenting Stress: Navigating the complex, sometimes overwhelming challenges and behavioural stressors of raising children.
Workplace Challenges: Finding strategies and support to deal with workplace bullying, toxic environments, or professional conflicts.

Healing from Trauma, Grief & Exhaustion
Grief & Loss: Navigating the deep pain of losing a loved one, a relationship, or adapting to a major, unexpected life change.
Trauma & Abuse Recovery: Working through the lasting emotional weight, painful flashbacks, and memories of past physical or emotional harm.
Burnout & Work Stress: Recovering from that deep, bone-tired exhaustion where you feel entirely drained of motivation and energy.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate these challenges alone.
I provide a safe and grounded space to facilitate the expansion of psychological resilience, or agility, for all adults, but have a special interest in working with women aged 55 and over as they navigate unique life transitions.
